Bodega Collection

Bodega Collection is inspired by the chiaroscuro technique, also known as cellar art, used by the famous Italian painter Caravaggio. This technique, which involves the use of extreme contrasts of light and shadow, was so important in its time that multiple schools were founded solely to teach it. Artists would set up their workshops in cellars with small windows to practice this style of painting.

FURNITURE COLLECTION

By drawing shadow over shadow, we can create a three-dimensional sensation in our furniture. By subtracting light and adding darkness, we achieve a contrast that simulates the effect of one surface floating over another. The use of darkness to dominate light results in dramatic and expressive creations.

Our Bodega Collection includes a Credenza, Dresser, Cabinet, and a series of tables that are perfect for any room in your home. Each piece is designed to embody the chiaroscuro technique, resulting in theatrical figures and textures.

Bodega collection refers to cellar art or better known as chiaroscuro, a technique of extreme contrast of light and shadow used by Caravaggio, one of the most famous Italian painters of all time.

The term chiaroscuro implies a sharp transition from darkness to light, losing nuances and subtle color transitions, resulting in theatrical figures and textures, like this piece.
