Duna

The experience of being surrounded by an infinite sand layer while moving slowly through wind currents, is to experience the passage of time and our brief existence in this wide world. The smooth and warm sensation of layer upon layer of sand -proper of dunes formations- became the cardinal element for this collection.

Design by Joel Escalona for NONO

Our Duna Collection is inspired by the vast sand dune regions of the world. These formations, with their sinuous fine lines created by the wind, showcase the beauty of a landscape and represent the natural passage of time and the constant transformation of our surroundings.

We wanted to bring the warm sensation of layer upon layer of sand to our furniture, so we carefully crafted each piece of the Duna Collection to resemble a serene landscape. The polished tabletop surface of each piece captures the effect of the wind, while the fluid, smooth wood base adds to the overall calming effect.

In addition to their elegance, the pieces in the Duna Collection are designed to evoke a sense of calm, inspired by the vastness of the dense sand fields and their wind-polished formations. The collection includes a set of nest tables, a coffee table, a bench, and a sideboard, making it ideal for comfortable lounge spaces that seek to add a touch of serenity with a subtle piece of furniture.
