JOEL ESCALONA STUDIO, in collaboration with The Artling, created a monumental four-meter Still Stand sculpture for Capella Taipei.

Capella Taipei, located in the vibrant Songshan district, blends heritage and modernity with curated luxury and meaningful discovery. Appointed as the official art consultant, The Artling partnered with our studio to craft a piece that reflects the hotel’s philosophy and poetic atmosphere.

Positioned in The Rotunda, one of the most dynamic and highly trafficked areas of the hotel, the sculpture serves as a focal point within the guest experience. Produced in Mexico City over more than six months, it embodies the concept of Quiet Dynamics, where natural curves, structured forms, and open spaces come together in harmony.

The Still Stand invites guests to pause and reflect, engaging with Taipei’s layered identity while offering a serene moment of contemplation amidst the energy of the surroundings. More than a sculpture, it is an experience that enriches the narrative of Capella Taipei and celebrates the timeless craft and artful luxury that defines the Capella brand.
